South Tyrol is said to be the world’s largest continuous fruit-growing region and employs 7.8% of the local work force. In South Tyrol, around 10% of the apples grown in the EU, or 2% of global production, are produced in about 18,000 hectares.

Pest management is a particular concern here. Various European testing centres have therefore been working with us for decades to optimise this.
